Oregon State vs Oklahoma State

Oregon State vs Oklahoma State Prediction: Betting Line, Odds & Pick. Two teams looking to exceed expectations clash when the Oklahoma State Cowboys visit the Oregon State Beavers at Reser Stadium on Friday night.

Oregon State is projected to finish last in the Pac-12 North, even with many returning players in their roster while Oklahoma State went just 7-6 last year and they’ve made significant changes to their team.

Oklahoma State was a force in the Big 12, with head coach Mike Gundy leading them to six seasons with double-digit wins, including three 10-win seasons between 2015 and 2017 but the program took a step back last year, going 7-6. They did beat Missouri 38-33 in the Liberty Bowl on December 31.

Last year’s starting quarterback Taylor Cornelius is now in the NFL and Hawaii transfer Dru Brown or redshirt freshman Spencer Sanders will take over under center. Brown or Sanders will have a dangerous weapon in Tylan Wallace, one of the best wide receivers in the nation. Wallace caught 86 passes for 1,491 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 13 games.

Running back Chuba Hubbard can be a difference-maker in this game, the Oklahoma State offensive line returns four of five starters from last year and Hubbard could thrive against a poor Oregon State run defense that surrendered 281.8 yards in 2018.

Oregon State has really struggled since head coach Mike Riley left in 2014 and their last winning season was in 2013 when they went 7-6 and won the Hawaii Bowl 28-23 against Boise State. The Beavers are just a combined 3-21 in the last two seasons, including 2-10 last year and this will be Jonathan Smith’s first season as their head coach.

Running back Jermar Jefferson was a breakout star as a freshman last year, rushing for 1,380 yards and 12 touchdowns on 239 carries in 12 games. The Oregon State wideouts, led by Isaiah Hodgins and Trevon Bradford and tight end Noah Togiai will make or break the team’s chances to be competitive on Friday night.

Quarterback Jake Luton, who threw for 1,660 yards and 10 touchdowns with four interceptions in eight games last year, has to throw the ball downfield and keep Oregon State moving, they can’t rely just on Jefferson and the ground game.

Oklahoma State has six new starters in the front seven but they still have Tylan Wallace and a consistent offense. Oregon State also has talented pieces on that side of the ball but is hard to see them keep up with Oklahoma State. That said, their -9 turnover margin last year concerns me and those ball control issues make me lean towards taking the home team catching 14 points at home.

Colorado had a breakout 10-win season in 2016, but fell back to .500 last season, so there’s definite room for improvement. There’s lots of promise riding on quarterbacks Steven Montez and K.J. Carta-Samuels. The latter set a single-game school record with 537 yards, and added five touchdowns to their losing effort.

While CSU lost 43-34 to Hawaii last Saturday, Buffaloes head coach Mike MacIntyre is expecting them to bring their A-game tonight. “When you dissect the film against Hawaii, they drastically got better as it went along,” he said. “In the second half, CSU played really, really, really well. They are dynamic on offense. They have guys that can run everywhere and the quarterback can throw the deep ball really, really well.”

“That run and shoot is hard to prepare for in a couple of days,” he continued. “I know they’ll play a ton better on defense (against CU) than they did. I was really impressed with their fight and their spirit in the second half, coming back.”

CSU will no doubt be looking to redeem themselves after last week, and much of that will hinge on the leadership of head coach Mike Bobo, who was sidelined in the hospital with peripheral neuropathy after experiencing numbness in his feet. Bobo could potentially return to the sidelines tonight. “My wife says I’m moving a little bit faster, but not fast enough to get on that sideline,” he revealed. “I do not know the answer to that yet. Anything is open.”

it’s evident this team still has plenty of rebuilding to do. If they lose to Colorado, it will be the first time they’ve gone 0-2 since 2013. To add stress to the situation, CSU will face SEC opponents Arkansas and Florida in the following weeks. This puts them in the hot seat in terms of needing a win.

Nevada vs Purdue

Nevada vs Purdue Live, Prediction: Betting Line, Odds & Pick.Nevada hosts Purdue in what should be an intriguing contest on Friday night. This will be Nevada‘s second season opener against a Big Ten opponent in three years. They lost 31-20 at Northwestern on September 2, 2017.

Purdue won the first meeting between these two teams, 24-14 on September 24, 2016 and this will be their first visit to Reno, Nevada.

After an 0-3 start, Purdue went 6-3 in their last nine games last season but Auburn crushed them 63-14 in the Music City Bowl on December 28. David Blough, Purdue’s starting quarterback for most of the last four seasons is now in the NFL, so it is time for Elijah Sindelar to take over under center.

Sindelar dealt with some tough injuries in the last two years but he is finally healthy and he brings plenty of experience as he has completed 56.0 percent of his passes for 2,547 yards with 20 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 19 career games, averaging 6.3 yards per attempt, including 2,099 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and just seven interceptions over 12 games in 2017.

Purdue needs a healthy Sindelar and significant contributions from explosive wideout Rondale Moore, who led the nation with 114 receptions and had 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns. Moore had seven games with at least 100 receiving yards and six with at least 10 catches.

Nevada opened last season just 3-3 but they won four of their next six games to become bowl eligible. Then they beat Arkansas State 16-13 in overtime in the Arizona Bowl on December 29. Cristian Solano, last year’s backup quarterback, was expected to be the team’s starting signal-caller this season but a hand injury halfway through training camp will keep him out of this game, forcing Nevada to turn to redshirt freshman Carson Strong, who beat three other players to earn the job, including Malik Henry (famous for his appearances on Netflix’s Last Chance U).

Strong will be under center until Solano returns and he will have a very solid ground game, led by Toa Taua (872 rushing yards, six touchdowns, 4.9 yards per carry), Kelton Moore (433 rushing yards, four touchdowns, 4.8 yards per carry) and Devonte Lee (193 rushing yards, seven touchdowns, 4.3 yards per carry). Wideout Kaleb Fossum, who led Nevada with 70 receptions last year is also back. Overall this team has a decent offense but there are question marks on defense because of the inexperience of their secondary.

Nevada can keep this game close if their defense pressures Sindelar to take away the passing game and test the Purdue running backs but Purdue is the better team and their air attack and efficiency on the road will help them get a close win to start the season.

There are a few Streaming Services that provide a decent amount of live sports programming. I’ll go over those in this section. The rest of the article after that will break down services based on various sports.

Best Live Sports Streaming

If you have cut the cord you’ll likely want to check out the best live TV streaming services available to you. After all, it may be the only way to continue watching all of your favorite shows live.

These days, there are numerous live TV streaming services vying for your attention. They provide all of the usual entertainment, sports, movie, music, and kids channels that you’re used to watching every day.

But which is the best live TV streaming service? There are six top-tier providers worth considering: Hulu, YouTube TV, FuboTV, DirecTV, PlayStation Vue, and Sling TV. There are also two cheaper live TV streaming apps with potential: WatchTV and Philo.

In this article, we take a look at each of these live TV streaming services in turn. We reveal their strengths and weaknesses, and list their pUtah States and features. All in order to help you decide which live TV streaming service you should use.

Which Is the Best Live TV Streaming Service?

The two most significant deciding factors when choosing which TV streaming provider to use are 1) pUtah State and 2) channel selection.

In terms of value for money, YouTube TV offers the most premium channels for the pUtah State. However, if you want a full lineup that’s akin to your cable package, then PlayStation Vue’s Ultra plan is the way to go. If sports are your thing, then FuboTV is the best option.

At the budget end, Sling Blue and Orange are infinitely better than Philo and WatchTV thanks to the inclusion of some sports content and local channels.

Important note: If you want to watch a channel from other country you will need a VPN to change your location to that country as most of the channel streams on the internet are geo-blocked. Even if you want to stream a channel in your country is highly recommended to use a VPN to keep your traffic anonymous as your internet provider may not like it and block your access or slow down your connection. UMass vs Rutgers Preview

Despite only winning four games last season, things don’t look too promising for UMass in 2019. Losing one of the best receivers in program history along with their quarterback depth and leading rusher, the high-powered Minutemen offense is going to have an entirely different look this season. While the passing attack should likely still be able to move the football occasionally, the run game offers the biggest question marks – especially considering a number of departures from an already thin offensive line.

On the defensive side of the ball, UMass is also losing six starters – something that doesn’t seem to bode all too well for a unit looking to improve off a lackluster 2018. The defense should improve with time as the Minutemen have some quality young players but it will almost certainly take some time for the unit as a whole to come together. Thankfully, against Rutgers, they should likely avoid being thrown into the fire in week one.

As tough as the outlook might be for UMass, Rutgers seems to be in a considerably worse state. After losing a number of players stemming from a string of arrests, the Scarlet Knights limped to a 1-11 finish in 2018. Sophomore quarterback.

Artur Sitkowski is coming off one of the worst collegiate seasons in recent memory as he wasn’t provided with any help as a freshman and led the nation in interceptions – while completing fewer than half his passes. Though the rest of the offense needs to improve as well, Sitkowski’s ability to improve his play and cut down on his turnovers will go a long ways towards helping to get the Scarlet Knights back on the right track.

Defensively, things look a bit better for Rutgers. They return some quality talent and bring in a new defensive coordinator to help try and turn things around. While they won’t be a standout unit by any means, they have the pieces in place to at least create some stops and should keep most of their games within relative striking distance.

The showdown between two teams in turmoil could help set the tone for the season on both sides. A win for either team would be a big start to the season and provide considerable confidence to an extremely young team whereas a loss could set the table for another dismal losing campaign. Expect a low-scoring sloppy affair that should be close wire to wire.
